RV beds are not all the same size. A Short Queen is shorter than a standard Queen, and “RV King” can refer to different widths and lengths across manufacturers. Bunks can vary even more.
The most useful starting point is the actual sleeping surface in your camper, trailer, motorhome or fifth wheel. Match its width and length to the dimensions of the topper you intend to order.
Measure the mattress itself rather than the outside of a wooden frame. A platform, surrounding trim or wall gap can make the bed opening look larger or smaller than the sleeping surface.

A rectangular topper may not match a shaped mattress. Do not assume custom corners, trimming services or a modified-product return option are included. Confirm the shape and fit before purchase.
The 2-inch profile adds a lighter cushioning layer. The 3-inch profile adds a deeper layer and raises the sleep surface an extra inch compared with the 2-inch option. Your mattress still supplies the underlying support.
On an RV bunk, check the bed manufacturer’s maximum mattress-height and guardrail requirements before adding any topper. Also check headroom, ladders, nearby windows and access to storage. If your bed folds, lifts or moves with a slide, confirm the manufacturer’s instructions for that arrangement.
